Understanding the Turning Point of Time
This was the first collection of Rev Mario’s teachings on a specific subject. The extracts are taken from some of his major lecture series and seminars. The aim of this collection is to give the reader the esoteric background necessary to understand the cosmic nature of the events of Golgotha so that, with intelligence and with feeling, this event can come closer, become more real, an experience.
Rev Mario says, “If one wishes to understand the resurrection, then one must also understand the crucifixion. They are two halves of the one whole. To know the risen Christ is also to know the crucified Christ, which means becoming acquainted with the wounds he still bears and sharing in his suffering.
“As long as spirituality remains the pursuit of a nice, warm feeling it remains superficial. There is no gain in egostrengthening and there is no growth in holding onto an experience which lies in the past. A real Christ experience is an ongoing process which propels one forward.
“Therefore, Golgotha is the event from which progressive humanity springs. Not spiritual humanity, praying humanity or Christian humanity, but progressive humanity. Keep that in mind when you come across people who are progressive.
“The deep mystery of Golgotha is that the creator became the creature. The creator shed its own blood for its own creation. Through the shedding of his blood, Christ incorporated into the human being the possibility of an upward path, a path towards the spirit from which we have come.”
