Easter - With Christ on Calvary – spoken word CDs
Meditations for the Holy Week
In profoundly inspirational talks over three nights, Rev Mario led those present into the spiritual mood of Holy Week. Using the passion story from the Gospel of St Matthew he contemplated the implications of the Easter event for the world and for each of us. Speaking from his own spiritual experience and knowledge Rev Mario deliberated on subjects such as:
the Lord’s Supper as an initiation rite
the mystery and power of the bread and wine
how we become Judas the betrayer
loving with the mind and thinking with the heart
Christ’s work in evolution
the development of a new spiritual organ - the chalice
the agony in the garden of Gethsemane and passing through our own Gethsemane
giving rather than seeking love
the power released on Calvary
we can only say “I” through Christ
how Holy Week is re-enacted in the heavens
the significance of the three hours on the cross In particular Rev Mario spoke from his spiritual perception of the presence of Christ in these gatherings, standing with us, harmonising heaven and earth, or like a flame of pure light walking among us.
If you wish to fulfil the longing portrayed in the song we sing each Easter “Open my eyes to see victory in Christ for me. Lord, make Calvary real to me”, these reflections will help you to enter more deeply into the real meaning of the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ.
